# Let coworkers edit your Microsoft Form

> Use Collaborate or Duplicate to copy a link that lets coworkers view and edit your form and results. Who it works for, the 100 limit, and how to stop.

Short answer: open the form, select More form settings, then Collaborate or Duplicate, and choose Share the link to collaborate and view result. Pick who can edit, select Copy, and send the link. Microsoft says this is "only available for Office 365 Education and Microsoft 365 Apps for business customers" and needs a school or work sign-in.

## Steps

Exact names may differ on your screen.

1. Open the form at [https://forms.office.com](https://forms.office.com).
2. Select More form settings, then Collaborate or Duplicate. If you do not see that, select the Share button instead.
3. Under Add collaborators, select Share the link to collaborate and view result.
4. Choose one option: "Users with an Office 365 work or school account can view and edit", "People in my organization can view and edit", or "Specific people in my organization can view and edit".
5. Select Copy and paste the link where your co-authors can reach it.

## If the link does not work for someone

Check each of these against the person.

- With Specific people, only users with a valid Office 365 mailbox can be selected.
- Co-authoring works only for users in the same cloud. For example, a GCC user can co-author only with other GCC users.
- Every option needs a work or school account, so a personal account will not get in.
- With Specific people selected, only those people or groups can edit.
- If you deleted the link, Microsoft says it "cannot be re-activated". Create a new one.

## What co-authors can do

Microsoft says they can view and edit questions and response data. They cannot change the permission level. You stay the owner, and the form stays in your Forms portal.

## Limits

You can designate up to 100 co-authors per form. A group counts as one co-author regardless of its size.

## Stop sharing

1. Open the form and select More form settings, then Collaborate or Duplicate.
2. Select Delete next to the box that shows the link.
3. Select Remove link. Select Cancel to keep it.

A summary link to your responses is separate. Microsoft says an existing summary link stays open until you delete it: in View responses, open More options, select Share a summary link, then Remove link.

## When to get help

You can build all of this yourself in Microsoft 365. If you would rather have it built and tested for your team, I do that. A tracker like this is a fixed price: \$5,000 for one, built in 2 weeks. See "[What a SharePoint tracker costs to build](/guides/what-a-sharepoint-tracker-costs/)". Bring one example of the problem to a free call.

I am Al Davies. I run 250 High Street LLC and build SharePoint trackers and Power Automate flows for operations teams. I work remotely. The first call is free, and I will not try to sell you anything.
